Legally phone box is the proof of buying. Court can decide you stole the phone if you don’thave the box.
You don’t need it, but it’s good to have if you decide to sell your phone.
My thought too, then I realized I’ve only resold one or two phones lol. Typically they break and when this isn’t the case it turned into a up phone/media player.
