Rep. Lauren Boebert ® has introduced legislation to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
Sure! Let’s eliminate the Department of Education, EPA, ATF, Department of the Interior, FCC, National Science Foundation, Department of Agriculture, the FTC and the NRC, the Department of Labor and DOE, the BIA and the BLM and why the hell not the DOT as well.
That way we can put more funds and manpower into making sure people’s washroom use doesn’t controvene Federal Anti-trans bathroom regulations.
I can strongly support eliminating 100% of every department you listed.
There was a time when the nation of Somolia had no such freedom-destroyimg regulatory agencies, collected no taxes and had an absolutely free market economy. Must have been an absolute paradise.

What’s your case for eliminating each of these departments? What is wrong with them?I was being sarcastic. Of course over-regulation can be a problem, and I’m not trying to make a case that reform or reorganization is unnecessary or detrimental to the health of the nation, rather that the pendulum ought not swing too far the other way. There’s a lot of little pieces that help a society function better, and if you eliminate too many, things can break.

It till be next. We have to many agencies that do the same or similar things. ATF/DEA are easy ones to target.
Yes. Too many goddamn cops.
Federal agents. To me it’s too many agents fighting over trying to show their value but providing no real value. I am pro-law enforcement but I don’t need to ‘find’ criminals.
Too many agent who are specialists in a particular area. Should we get rid of SWAT too?
Swat should be reduced. They escalate a lot of situations when they are not needed. If they have them, they feel the need to use them
Eh, cops are cops. From DHS to ICE, NSA to county sheriff, USMS, transit police, they are all cut from the same cloth.
Fuck yeah! I know it won’t go through, but just seeing someone introduce a bill, man, that’s something else.
