If Musk is ready to lie about his gaming achievements then can we really trust anything that comes out from his mouth.

I mean who cares if Musk is bad at POE2 but the fact that he goes to such lengths to lie about how good he is in a videogame tells a lot about his character and personality.

narcissism is a lack of empathy and conpassion. it is not thinking you are better than others.

An example of how a narcissist would think would be “I barely know anything about this subject and you know even less than I do so you must be a fucking idiot if you know less than my dumb ass”

Lack of empathy is a sign of narcissism sure, but so is a pathological need for praise and to feel superior to others.

Yes and that need stems from deep insecurity. Narcissists are insecure, but don’t show it. Their whole superiority act is just that, an act. Very convincing, because it’s what they -want- to be, and when people praise them it’s like a confirmation. They’re addicted to it. That’s why they lash out at anyone who sees through it. When you praise them, they’ll treat you like the best friend/lover they’ve ever had, but once you take away the praise… well they become a nightmare.

See it like this: nobody who is actually self-confident needs to get a constant stream of praise to be happy.

I’m honestly shocked that you have to ask someone if you can trust him.

Musk has his loyal fanbase who have been impressed by his achievements with Paypal, Tesla and SpaceX.
Honestly he seemed all right before 2020’s but after that he’s slowly become more and more radicalized.

Fortunately his behaviour is alienating a lot of his fanbase, unfortunately they’re getting replaced by more far right fans.

Have you not noticed any of the many things Musk has said and done to suppress things like civil and worker’s rights? How he’s sucking Trump’s cock so he can dictate policy to the country? How he turned Twitter into an actual Nazi mouthpiece? That’s what he’s using his image to try to push.

Rather than taking the time to try and research Elon, it’s probably faster to just read the Wikipedia entries on the German Nazi party and apartheid South Africa. That should give you a pretty good idea of what he believes and is pushing.

        Among other things:

        • anti workers rights
        • anti immigrant
          • with exceptions for his own businesses
        • anti safety nets
        • pro fascist
          • he’s began propping up Reform in UK and AfD in Germany
        • pro corporate

Basically your bog-standard right-wing corporate fascist grab bag. He’s using his platforms (in all meaning of the word) to push that internationally.

The craziest part of that article is

Vice co-founder Shane Smith stepped down as CEO in 2018, but has remained the company’s (…) The Canadian-born journalist’s focus seems to be trained on the southern border, with an editorial line closer to Trump campaign fearmongering than hard news reporting. (Smith is not to be confused with Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes, who left the media company and established the far-right militant group the Proud Boys).

So two of the three Vice media founders are now far right? I tried to find out more about Suroosh Alvi, the third founder, but didn’t see much. Though on his X (🤢) he posts and reports a bunch of pro Gaza stuff.

I shouldn’t be surprised cuz it looks like they all got rich off Vice, but still.

I feel like I remember them focusing on the sensation around news and not the actual news. Anything news worthy was included as a matter of context.

I felt like Vice was as if Beavis and Butthead were reporters, they went to the heart of a story that wasn’t getting much coverage and asked about people’s butts.

Rich people work so hard to deserve their perverse wealth /s The only way they can still blow of steam is by pretending to grind online multiplayer games no actual working person has enough time for.

What kind of flex is this supposed to be?

I dont know path of exile in detail but being a top mmo player has always struck me of an archivement in dedication of time much more then inherent skill. The learned skill the pros have just comes natural with enough dedication.

My general reaction to something like it is not more then . Wow “you” must really enjoy this particular game. Is that reaction really worth cheating for?

Do we think he lacks the general life experience to be able to reflect on the common knowledge that a pro failed more times then the beginner has tried?

I known Elon is neurodivergent if not full on autistic but so am i and i cant make sense of this guys wims.

I think it comes down to what you said, but for the obscenely rich.

A pro has failed more than a beginner has tried. The obscenely rich have been told ‘yes’ more than the poor have had the opportunity to even ask questions.

You can learn this type of failed behavior just like a bad habit, and boy howdy is he the master of it.

The company behind POE can do it easily with IP address.

E.G. one of the bits is that the character was online and playing while he was on a call with several EU heads of state.

The main ones are that for the rank of the character, he would absolutely have to know the game damn near perfectly.

In the video he put out, its very obvious he doesn’t know a damn thing about it.
      • As in just blindly autoattacking, even when he doesnt have mana to attack • Not knowing how the map nodes work, going into a run with a full inventory • Skipping over all drops including a “Chaos Orb”. Only picks up maps. • Claiming how bad his gear based on the equip level alone when its functionally tue best possible gear you can get • The character’s auction house gear sales are classic RMT scammer money trades, where they put horrible gear up for ridiculous prices as a way to move ingame currency around between mules.

I thought poe2 didn’t have a real AH, just currency market. Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you’re trying to say.

Rest of the stuff checks out though.

It doesn’t have an auction house that automatically sells gear but, it does a an official website that allows you to list gear for sale. One of “Musk’s” listings (Maybe the only? I don’t remember) is a garbage crossbow for 18 divine orbs. That’s an ass load of currency in SC trade, let alone HC.

You apparently have a hateful right wing chud perform “secret” acts that will result in them getting a big push on a new platform.

Also: Friendly reminder that the Vice of today is not the Vice of olde and that “Waypoint” is a brand that is run by one rando (who likely uses a LOT of AI to generate content…) and has none of the social or political values the old Waypoint had. For the old Waypoint, you are looking at Remap Radio (the three founder/owners are Ricardo Contrarez, Rob Zacny, and Patrick Klepek and they semi-regularly collaborate with Austin Walker and, when she is available, BAFTA Award Winner Natalie Watson. And Janet Garcia is a “newbie” but is fucking awesome).

Aww, the chuds must be angry that I am not giving their shit goblin his due credit for asking musk for a streaming deal.
