    Awful tanky controls (understandable) didn’t stop me from getting 100% genitals shots in some of it’s missions. Local deathmatch was kinda better because both of you struggled with them. 7\10 for me as a kid, but if I’d play it now as it was back then, I’d quickly drop it in favor of something with a third person perspective. It wasn’t just there yet, and devs did the best they could.

    Not sure if this had the same campaign as the PC release (ah, the good ol’ days where games on different platforms could be completely different); but both Medal of Honor and the very first Call of Duty were formative FPS experiences for me.

      It’s a different game, you’re thinking of the sequel MoH: Allied Assault

        The moment you named the subtitle (Allied Assault), you hit the nail on the head!

        WOW, I never realised that the series began on the PS1 - or that Allied Assault was the THIRD entry in the series! I guess I’ll have to add both PS1 entries to my hunt list.

    The game that got me into dual stick controls and first person shooters in general, absolutely loved this game.

    Wasn’t this the one that started with D day and storming the beach? I remember being blown away by how good it looked, which I’m sure would not be the case today!

      Frontline and Allied Assault started with D-Day. MOH:AA was PC only though

      Yes! This game was amazing at the time. Storming Normandy and a later mission on German u boat are both core memories for me. And I can confirm (though this was almost 10 years ago now, so it’s probably worse still) graphics do not hold up today at all but I remember still liking the actual gameplay still. Might try to spin that up in an emulator sometime for shits and gigs. Thanks for the blast from the past OP.

    I can’t be sure it’s from this game as I played it 100 years ago, but

    There was a mission where you’re in a German base. You’re just fucking their shit up and they start saying weird shit over the PA like, “Surrender now and you vill be treated vith charity und kindness.”

    I thought it was hilarious.

    My strongest memory of Medal Of Honor is the undercover missions. Flipping the ID badge out over and over again like an idiot because the animation was funny.

    never managed to play it
    i found a PC CD in a box n the street and wanted to play it
    While waiting at school to go home i managed to go on a PC and read about some map because i wanted to make myself familiar with it

    But somehow later the install did somehow not work ;.;
    Still fond of the knowledge i gained

    so still good memories even without playing
