Pic unrelated. Apparently I had to add one before posting so this is just the latest pic I was sent.
So… by giggling at farts I’m not masculine? :(
I remember back when it used to be full of experts or professionals talking educated sense about things. Then I noticed the general standard dropping down to about my level of intelligence/knowledge - which is not great - and then sinking ever lower to the point it’s barely worth reading anymore.
Similar thing with Quora.
Sometimes, keeping things elitist is good.
I think what this shows is that the idea of communism attracts the worst type of people as leaders. They enjoy being in charge of everything about a country, and/or can’t believe people don’t act the way communist theory says they would act under communism, so kill them for being corrupt traitors in order to fix the system.
Is it really down to shareholder demand though? I’ve a suspicion that it goes a bit higher than that.
Depends on the level. The more power they have, the worse they are
When was that?
Jay Foreman - definitely British, definitely funny, but its much more than that. Their series Unfinished London talks about infrastructure over the last hundred years and how it’s affected the layout of the city. Really interesting and pretty funny.
Seconded. Love their stuff. Also Contrapoints (who Philosophy Tube kinda ripped off, but hey ho, both great content.)
FD Signifier is good too.
I was thinking the same, but the mods would have to be pretty spectacular and game-changing. Not sure why I feel this way, other than having played Fallout 3, NV & 4, and The Outer Worlds has probably worn out my desire for open world shooters
First of their games I didn’t even bother buying.
Same, but I find for about 1% of sites I have to load them in chromium. Just works much better
Furniture generally, beds specifically
They are confusing, but I can at least find them eventually. I can’t remember exactly what it was that the problem was with my last Linux install… I think my secondary monitor was stuck at 640x480 resolution or something, and I couldn’t find a way to fix it that didn’t involve the command line
I’ll start using Mint… heck, any version of Linux… as soon as they introduce a proper UI for a plethora of system settings. If I ever have to use a command line for anything but THE most esoteric, potentially system-damaging scenarios, the O/s has failed in my book. (Windows user since 3.1, never lasted more than a day with Linux)
Reading LHOD at the moment! About half way through. Really interesting concepts
