What a silly headline. Even many long term NYC residents with good jobs can’t afford to live in Manhattan. Why would migrants think that’s the city for them?
Because of years of our entertainment and media playing up cities like NYC and LA for a lot of refugees probably only heard of NYC. Not like they know about Tulsa Oklahoma or even smaller towns like Moore Oklahoma.
