Scientists Develop New Dirt-Powered Fuel Cell That Runs Forever
Northwestern University researchers have introduced a soil-microbe-powered fuel cell, significantly outperforming similar technologies and providing a sustainable solution for powering low-energy devices.
Ffs, why can’t we stop with the clickbaity titles, especially on science articles.
The fuel cell flat out does not last forever, only about 120% longer than similar devices according to the article. The only claim by the researchers is that, given enough microbes, it could potentially last indefinitely. But I guess that doesn’t generate as many ad clicks.
Possibly indefinitely reusable… Not catchy enough
Fully reusable zero waste battery? Getting there
Infinite power! Ok, that’s the one!
