Rage Against The Machine - Killing In the Name
Ain’t No Sunshine - Bill Withers
That man has pipes.
I keep thinking about my MiL when I hear this song - “I don’t like him”. She was in the same circles as Bill back in the day - apparently he was not a nice guy to women. I turn the volume up when it’s on because the song’s damn good, but still…
The Killers - Mr. Brightside for me. Such a good song
Hasn’t left the UK top 100 singles chart for 372 consecutive weeks! Longest charting single of all time.
I blame the streaming algorithms for that one. It’s certainly a banger of a song but things like You Tube music can’t help but it insert it into any vaugley guitar based auto playlist I might listen to.
The Prodigy - Voodoo People
Planet Claire - B52’s
Own Private Idaho!
So, so many, but off the top of my head…

I usually need to be in the mood for grunge to seek them out specifically among a few other bands too. But, if this song randomly comes on, I definitely turn it up. There’s no one stand out song from anyone that I’d say is my number 1 favorite, I like a lot of music.

Oh ye gods, so many. But for the purpose of this thread…
Only One, by Slipknot.
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock

Porceilna of the Vast Oceans starts so quiet I always turn it up and then see if I can keep it up once it gets loud.
Yes! That was their opener when I saw them a few years back. I love love love longer songs that start off quiet/delicate and gradually ramp into the heaviness.
Anything off of Parliament - Clones of Dr Funkenstein. Truly an underappreciated gem.
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams
Superstition by Stevie Wonder.
You specifically only asked for one but I’ll be a rebel and give you Cover You in Oil by AC/DC as a bonus.
Self Control by Laura Branigan
