The peasants shared a common version of reality and had a king living within a distance they could reach with a guillotine. We do not live in a comparable world unfortunately. We have decentralized kings, a system that encourages their replication, and propaganda networks that create “reality” to keep us separated :(
You honestly think peasants could reach the king without getting gutted by their guards within seconds?
There’s usually more peasants than guards.
