Something funny is going on at Lemm.ee. The admin is suddently ban hammer happy too.

That and all the mods removed from here is kinds strange.

Anyone have any word on what’s up and why the drastic changes in attitude and all of the sudden bans?

Lemm.ee is a bunch of new admins, so it’s not longer as friendly to differing opinions as it once was.

Which a bunch of Lemmy Democrats are gonna cheer and advertise about.

Probably a good idea for us to find a new conservative community.

Don’t let them silence you, guys. We should just move–not run away. Running away is what they want us to do.

EDIT: I’m not defending Nazi’s or Nazi salutes. I didn’t see the post and I haven’t seen any describe it other than “it was a Nazi salute!” Does anyone want to actually describe the post? What did it say? Was it a meme? Was it Musk? Was it a random pic?

    Sure it was discussed, but it didn’t say what the image was. Was it a meme? I have no clue. What was the context? WAs it jsut a pic of Elon giving a nazi salute without saying anything?

    Yep. But that doesn’t mean that this conversation should lead to variations of “every conservative is a Nazi” nonsense. Becuase that’s not fact. That may be your opinion, but that’s not fact.

    Hey, it’s not my fucking instance. If lemm.ee decides to ban conservative communities, then hey, they can go for it. There are other conservative communites on lemmy.

    I don’t agree that they should ban them, but I do believe it’s their right to do whatever they want with their instance. Just like I can do what I want with my instances.

        And I am fine with that. But I am seeing a larger conversation, in the links provided where people are saying that there should be no conservative communities. As in literally saying, “There shouldn’t be conservative communities allowed anywhere on Lemmy.”

        That’s what I’m referring to.

                    How about this: You create a new user name. Then you and I will create a new Conservative community on Lemmy and be co-mods. After a month, tell me what you think about the general attitude Lemmy has about people who start conservative communities.
