But Luigi is either going to get off and likely get into politics, or lose and become a literal martyr.
There’s no path for the wealthy to win, especially since everyday thousands of Americans cross the line to “nothing left to lose”.

I was under the impression that Luigi Mangione is INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty by a jury of his peers. That’s it.
Seeking the death penalty isn’t a conviction. They are just saying they are making their case for that sentancing, likely also signaling that no plea agreement would be accepted.
Though they likely don’t want to play fair, they want to send a message.
