When despite the isolation and difficulties and people being terribly ill and dying, there was this feeling of something good might come out of this great reset of society?

That feels very distant now.

    Who thought of it as a great reset of society? Everyone was miserable and wanted to go back to their regular lives.

      I think many people at the time considered it an opportunity for change as they passed through the stages and arrived at acceptance of “this is what it is now”. I remember talking with people that were optimistic that society might take a turn to the communal again.
