What homepage? My internet is curated to be ad-free as much as possible. My homepage is a blank slate of bookmarks. I pay extra for hulu, youtube, and spotify, and a few podcasters to get an ad-free experience.

By homepage I was referring to the main screen that Spotify loads into, the default view of all your playlists, recommended lists, etc.

And I expect all the same things you expect for my regular browsing behavior. But on the music discovery and listening platform I don’t get pissy when new music is shown to me, even if it’s unrelated to my tastes.

I have no idea what point you’re trying to make here. If I’m paying for no ads - that means NO FUCKING ADS

Not “just a little bit of ads”.

NO. SPONSORED. CONTENT. It’s that hard of a concept.

If a company doesn’t offer a ad-free experience, I pirate. Those are my rules and I will stick to them with my last dying breath.

As soon as I figure out a good way to migrate my playlists over to youtube music, spotify is done.

You know what doesn’t show me sponsored shit when I open it up?

        Youtube music. Tidal. Deezer.
