I understand that the CAFE standards are the root of the problem. I’m saying they should be expanded so that giant trucks and SUV’s are no longer a loophole to the regulation. Trucks have gotten bigger, but the average bed size for a pickup has gone down! People don’t buy trucks because they need to haul things anymore, they buy them to use as an everyday vehicle. And the only reason they do that is because auto manufactures have convinced them too.
