Hl1 and hl2 are not really connected plotwise and can be enjoyed separately. There’s some small references and a couple characters you wouldn’t necessarily know even if you played HL1, because HL1 didn’t have much of a focus on that kind of story-telling.

The series is certainly a must play because of how much it influenced the industry. Going back to it now may not seem like it’s all that great; but you gotta keep in mind, it was one of the very first FPS games designed this way. Before Half-Life, FPS games were all just basically Doom clones.

My thinking is if I don’t even make enough to not have to live in the streets/in my car while also working 40-60 hours a week, then it’s simply not worth the stress. If I’m gonna be homeless whether I have a job or not, might as well stay unemployed.

Been getting into furry focused visual novels after getting bored and checking out Adastra since I had heard of it years ago and never actually played it, and I just haven’t been able to get enough of Howlie’s work since (finish The Smoke Room so you can get back on Khemia, please! 😩)

I like sci-fi and romance. Adastra was both and has been the best fucking thing I’ve ever read.

I guess I’ll have to go with Fightin’ Herds? It’s one of the few games I have that I bought entirely on the screenshots from the store page and I’ve never seen anyone mentioned it ever. In the simplest explanation: It’s a 2D side scrolling fighting game with animal characters designed by Lauren Faust (the creator of MLP: Friendship is Magic). It’s not a very good game. It’s extremely cheap and unfair, like way more than any other fighting game I’ve played. The adventure mode is also kinda shit because it takes the already bad fighting mechanics and makes you do platforming and Smash Bros style horde fights against multiple opponents and the controls just aren’t really designed for that shit (up is jump and it doesn’t like you trying to jump forward so making what looks like an easy jump is harder than it has to be). I haven’t even gotten 25% through the story mode :(

Is there any video chat service that isn’t? It seems every single one has some glaring issue that makes it a pain to use. And it’s not like I could just use a FOSS thing that’s better; this is one of those things where you are kinda limited to using what everyone else you’re going to be talking to is using. :(

If I didn’t use the platform to also read the news and just talked about games or looked at memes, I might do the same. But I’m not going to block instances of “Trump” or “Vance” or “Musk” because knowing what those fuckwads are doing is kind of important.

Blocking assholes being assholes is one thing; blocking someone who isn’t being an asshole but simply disagrees with you is another.

Put it in the frame of real life. Are you going to totally cut off a family member or friend just because they said 1 minor thing you don’t agree with?

IMI, Titan Quest was the Diablo slayer before Torchlight came and slayed it again.

I use it all the time. Dump dishes into trash, rinse everything that sticks off in sink, grind up all the food bits from that in the disposal, put dishes in dish washer.

It’s only gonna get gross and smelly under your sink if something is wrong with the disposal. And if you’re not throwing a shit ton of garbage down it, just the little bits that wash off when doing dishes, it’s not likely to break or get clogged.
