  • A lot of factories, particularly in Florida, are open air because they don’t want to pay for air conditioning, which just makes the situation worse.

Of course that’s not the only issue with factory work. Between “mandatory overtime” that doesn’t get announced until minutes before the end of your 15 hour shift and getting written up even with a doctor’s note… Or even paying for medical insurance and simply not being able to use it… Very few people want to work in a factory setting. The ones that do have to just to survive.

It’s modern day slavery, they just don’t beat you anymore.

  • It’s sadly going to fall on deaf ears so long as our government, pushed by the Christians, continues to fellate Israel so they can get a “reward” when they die.

That’s what this boils down to, folks. The Christians dictate foreign policy so they can continue to feel high and mighty about themselves. This isn’t about lives on either side of the situation; it has been and will continue to be about Christians thinking this benefits them directly. And it doesn’t matter how many women and kids die, so far as they are concerned. This is all about them.

They’ve been telling us who they are for 2000 years. It’s time to believe them and adjust ourselves accordingly. Similar to disregarding what any other bigot says. They shouldn’t be allowed to hold office considering they are commanded in their Bible to go against “earthly” things. A slave cannot serve two masters and they will (and have) sold this Country to benefit themselves.

If Trump wins in November, we need to get used to the idea of a theocracy in our lifetimes.

  • Because Israel has Christians all over the world giving them money, hand over fist, over myth and superstition.

The Christians think that supporting Israel will get them into “heaven” and the Israeli government has no issue taking that free money so long as no one tells the Christians that the Jews don’t believe their Messiah has returned yet.

So what you have are Christians who all claim to be “pro-life” that are fully willing to allow actual genocide so they can get a “reward” for it when they die.

Nevermind the pesky details of a goddamn thing Jesus allegedly said about murder or treating the foreigner well. And let’s not mince words here; the only source that says the Hebrews were from that part of the world is the Torah/Old Testament. They murdered the inhabitants once, they’ll do it again. But this time they have funding from Western countries that have grown adults pretending that fairy tales are real. The present day nation of Israel was created in 1948 by people who didn’t have the right to give someone else’s country away, but that’s what was done, and now Israel are the Nazis millions of good men died to protect them from.

There’s a restaurant in Florida called “The Ormond Garage” and they don’t serve fries with the burger. It’s another like $6 for fries that aren’t even that good. I went there once and they didn’t have to go cups for the meal that I called in… The server told me she could get me a regular cup and I could just drink it there while they were putting my $15 burger into a takeout box.

I contemplated walking out with the beer glass they handed me, but I just left.

  • There are ~10k homeless people in Daytona Beach, Florida. The city built a shelter but it’s about 8 miles from where the homeless are “existing,” but to get there, they have to walk past the Speedway, which gets them either arrested or taken back to where they were. And on top of that, the shelter only has 45 rooms.

Who would walk 8 miles, risking an arrest record (which only makes it harder to rent even if they could afford rent there) just to find out that there was no room for them when they got there?

There’s nothing around the shelter except the county jail and a few bail bonds places. There’s no incentive to help these people and the county has done a piss poor job of addressing the skyrocketing cost of living that is the impetus of homelessness to begin with.

They could use the money from bike week to fund a shelter or, at very least, a soup kitchen, but instead, they just give that money to the city commissioner that oversees the area around the Speedway which is, coincidentally, the district of the Mayor’s sister.
