I’ve been playing the second one for the gamecube and its pretty close to being timeless. Its a shame deluxe never made its way to a Nintendo console, guess I’ll check it out on PS2.
I have an X`Eye, love that thing. It has the best sound out of any genesis model IMO.
Around 2003 my mom found a funky CD player and gave it to me for my HiFi setup. It took forever to boot up, and it was heavy as shit, but it played CD’S! I never heard of CDi, but I had a feeling it the weird CD player was meant to do something more.
Anyways it took too much space and weighed as much as a cinder block so I threw it outside in my dads scrap pile.
Long story short my friend and I got bored one day and beat it with hammers. It wasn’t until the video game nerd covered it back in 07 that I realized what I had done lmao. Still wish I had it now that I collect vintage video games.
I feel like the GUI’S and user experience have barely changed in the last ten years since I started using linux. You still need to use the terminal for basic things like installing WiFi drivers when your distro didn’t automarically install it and smooth scrolling on a trackpad has been garbage for years.
Needing to fiddle to install basic drivers on a 2012 macbook air is kinda unacceptable in this day and age. I had to pull put a USB Ethernet jack and go through three updates and restarts for the drivers to finally pop up. I like tinkering so I don’t mind, but a regular person with basic computer skills would have no clue what to do.
