Genocide for what purpose? Destroying our planet? Wasting our resources? Killing the innocent? Why are we dumping money into this? Yemen and Palestine are of the poorest nations in the world suffering the harshest humanitarian crises of modern times. Why are we manufacturing war? We could spend money to help or to fix. To help and grow. Why is it being spent to kill?

I can’t stay productive with 20 tabs or applications open. I waste time searching. I feel drained if I’m working on a tough job and need something that is hidden. Maybe it’s on another desktop. Maybe it’s open in another instance. Maybe it’s not even open. Not for me.

The problem I see is in popular works of fiction, the scenarios seem too specific. Racism, rape, torture, whatever… they all start to come off as weird sorts of validation, wish fulfillment, or cheap shock content. Instead of satisfying a role in the plot, it subtracts from the immersion because you’re wondering if the author is into vore or whatever.

I think it’s good to have an outlet for these sorts of things. I just think it’s less about freedom of expression and more and audience reach, i.e., they didn’t get dark because it limits the demographic.
