BF II 2017 is on a major sale, but I don’t want to spend my money if I can do the same thing on the EA app by running it through Proton Experimental.

Does using the steam version make it easier to launch on steam deck?

    I’ve played both EA and Steam versions. The Vulcan pre-shader cache is nice, and the game is easier to install.

    But after a bit the game is basically on par.

    However if you never got the celebration edition before it’s worth it.
