As Nintendo takes the first step toward selling full-priced, AAA games at $80 and Xbox starts to follow suit but backs off, EA has now also made its position clear: no $80 games...for now.
I wonder what this means for the $100 GTA6 rumors. Nintendo seems to be getting away with the $80 price but MS and EA both backing down is a good sign.
It means if GTA6 launches with a $100 price tag and still sells boat loads, everyone else saying they aren’t even going to $80 will suddenly suffer amnesia.
I waited 5 years for cyberpunk to go on sale for a low enough price before I bought it, I would probably do the same with gta6. If it’s priced too high. I will just wait a few years until it isn’t.

We’ll be waiting a year just for the PC release. I honestly don’t mind. Playing a fully patched game is generally worth waiting for as well.
I legitimately don’t understand why people pay these prices. If no one buys, prices drop. Impatient rich people poisoning the well
People are voting with their wallets, and so far they’re ok with paying $80 for a game.
