They’re probably not doing it just because, my guess is that it’s to appeal to the fasci- I mean- conservative government heading the US right now. And yes, I am aware that they are probably going to restrict more stuff as time goes on if they’re unimpeded. I’m just looking for a solid motive

    If you’ve actually been paying attention you’d see that basically the only government in the world that is NOT taking part in all this censorship and mass surveillance is the very government you’re blaming for this.

    If anything, the only hope to stop these payment processors from going even more authoritarian is the current US government. Currently all of the “progressive” and “liberal” governments worldwide are all aboard the censorship and control train. The US is the outlier.

    I’m against censorship in all forms, but geez the games that have been removed…… their creators and the people that buy and enjoy those games are 99.9% sure to be rock spiders. If a game breaks the law then ban it and prosecute, but if not then leave them alone no matter how deprave and sick they are.
