That and all the mods removed from here is kinds strange.
Anyone have any word on what’s up and why the drastic changes in attitude and all of the sudden bans?

Lemm.ee is a bunch of new admins, so it’s not longer as friendly to differing opinions as it once was.

And I didn’t see the nazi salute that started the shitshow. So I have no clue what happened with that other than the fact that it’s been removed.
I guess the bigger question you should be asking yourself is why Nazis keep showing up in the conservative movement. Why conservative leaders court them for votes. Why conservative leaders are performing Nazi salutes at presidential inaugurations.

I don’t think they do. Most conservative people I know in real life don’t like nazi’s.
And I don’t think Elon is a conservative leader. And I don’t think he’s a nazi. I DO think he did a nazi salute to troll everyone. And I do think that trump should have distances himself from him. But I’m not going to fucking cancel Trump just because him and Trump are friends.

I don’t agree that they should ban them, but I do believe it’s their right to do whatever they want with their instance. Just like I can do what I want with my instances.

Lots of people have mulitple usernames on Lemmy. For me, it’s to protect my privacy and information from being all in one place. As are many others on here.
In fact, in the privacy communities, they recommend purging your username and creating a new one every few months. And I agree with that. And I do. And I will continue to do so.
Feel freel to check out the privacy communities and ask their thoughts on that subject.
