Every now and then I just save the German memes and send them to my English group chats to make sure they’re confused too.
Right? I think they’re underestimating the comedic value of dropping a half understood meme in an American group chat.
I’m in Ohio and my German is meh but I can understand 65%ish of what I see. It helps I lived in Duesseldorf for a year, but that was over 35 years ago so it doesn’t help enough.
