Damn you, I snorted a bit in public.

Someone made a filter for that and it works well. It’s in one of the posts that talked about YouTube doing that (I think the one in the Technology sub).
I was wondering the same. Thought it was something on my end.
Are multiplayer titles with anti cheat (Call of Duty, Valorant, etc) able to be played yet? It’s the only thing holding me back.
I just can’t fathom doing that even if it was perfectly acceptable. I hope these are jobs people don’t give a shit about or they have opportunities for something better. I don’t (currently), so if things went south, which for me they tend to, I would be sitting here in a very bad state.
Yep, right now, using a search engine with Reddit in the query is still the best option to find an answer to something. Maybe Lemmy fits that in time, but until then, Reddit it is.
I was, but they stopped appearing once I completely cleared browsing history and cookies. I also did another purge and update for good measure.
The only pain in the ass was that I ended up changing the username of some of my accounts but forgot to update them in my account manager, so it took a bit to find and log into them. But that was completely on me and won’t happen if you’re not being an idiot like I was.
Well, looks like it may be time to try and see what Linux is all about. Any good recommendations for a relatively Out of the Box experience?
I mostly just browse the web and play games (both single player and multiplayer, mostly AAA but also the occasional indie). On occasion, I also like to do some video editing in Davinci Resolve.
Never really thought about it. I suppose I would prefer a woman to do it, but wouldn’t necessarily mind if a man did it IF I wasn’t completely creeped out that they did something purposeful and unnecessary to me while I was knocked out.
Right now, my Windows 10 installation is pretty bloatless and is easily revertable when an update wants to change things. However I’m definitely looking for a more mainstream Linux solution because I know these times won’t last.
Youtube will add things here and there to find you something new to binge on to stay on their platform. If you watch something a little, you’ll be shown a couple similar videos. But if you watch a lot of that first video, you’ll be bombarded with similar content like you were.
It’s made me have to watch in incognito first, just so it doesn’t screw up my Recommended.
I don’t really mind if people don’t like me though I do kind of find it interesting as I keep to myself and not cause conflict with others.
I am completely thrown if someone takes interest in me though. It’s like, why? Does your lack of information about me make me mysterious or something? Because what you see here is what I am.
Same thing in distribution. They promote “safety, safety, safety,” but as soon as productivity dips, “you guys aren’t hitting your numbers, you need to do better.”
I don’t even know if he actually believes it but rather just wants easily fooled people to believe it.
Exactly, loyalty to a corporation is so stupid. Buy what works best for you in the moment.
If the company is still doing that when you need your next item, great. But if there is something better with a competitor and it’s not difficult to replace, it’s time to move on.
I’ve only been getting that recently.
It’s like I just watched 50 minutes of this hour video, took it out of my Watch Later and enjoyed it enough to actually give it a Like, why the hell would you recommend it to me again.
It’s going to take a seemless to register platform that offers comparable features to Twitter and then massive accounts switching over and actually leaving Twitter behind.
Right now Threads seems to be the closest, but they lack the feature set Twitter has like search and hashtags so the big accounts only tried it out before running back to what worked for them. Not to mention they don’t have a usable web page for the platform either which alienates a lot of desktop users.
If Threads adds those things in, I fully believe more of the bigger accounts will transition over with their following and it’ll snowball to become a massive platform. Whether it stays a good site remains to be seen, it is Meta after all.
The closest is Kenya, which starts with a “K” sound, but is actually spelled with a “K” sound."
Not going to lie, that’s pretty disturbing. This search engine is used by millions (maybe billions?) and they’re providing false information to all those people. That’s scary.
It’s not? I was thinking it would be second to Chrome only. No way Edge is leading it, right?
The gall of some managers. They’re going to lose that person anyway - might as well be on good terms where the potential of working together in the future is still a possibility.
